Brown Lace, Ruffled Skirts, & Kiss Tattoos: A Short n’ Sweet Evening
Last weekend, I was in girl heaven. Engulfed in a sea of silk bows, sequins, cutout hearts, and knee-high boots, there is only one place I could have been: Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour.
Yes, I was lucky enough to see Miss Carpenter at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena, and it did not disappoint in the slightest. From an amazing opening act (shoutout to our girl Rachel Chinouriri) to Sabrina’s flawless performances and undeniable stage presence, this Short n’ Sweet evening was one I won’t be forgetting any time soon.
Not only did the concert allow me to sing my favourite songs from the top of my lungs, but it also gave me the chance to channel my girly Sabrina style. Keep reading to find out what I wore to the Short n’ Sweet tour and how I embraced that pop princess aesthetic 💋
What I wore to the Short n’ Sweet Tour
That’s that me espresso
As always, curating the perfect concert look was crucial - especially when it involves the gorgeous Sabrina Carpenter.
When you think of Sabrina Carpenter, you can’t help but imagine a girly mix of pleated mini skirts, sequin hearts, iconic go-go boots, and voluminous, bouncy hair (read more here). And, let’s be real, you’ll also probably catch yourself humming “I’m working late, ‘cos I’m a singerrrr”, i.e. the most infectious earworm that ever existed.
I went through a similar thought process, et voilà, my Espresso-esque outfit was born. Like a cup of rich, hot coffee, I was dripping in different hues of chocolate brown. I paired the main event - a stunning brown lace mini dress from Murci - with my go-to brown platform knee-high boots from Quiz and a pair of sheer mocha tights.
Sabrina is the queen of cute mini skirts, and I knew I wanted to channel that ‘pop princess’ vibe with a girly, ruffled skirt - and this dress truly delivered. Anyone who knows me can confirm my obsession with the colour brown as well as with the girly aesthetic, so this chocolatey outfit, with its intricate lace detailing and pleated skirt, was a match made in heaven.
I’d recommend Murci to anyone who is in need of a gorgeous occasion dress! I’m obsessed.

Of course, I had to add the extra detailing to the outfit with a temporary kiss tattoo from Etsy! It’s not Short n’ Sweet without Sabrina’s iconic emblem. 💋
