Leopard Print & Chic Co-ords: A London Lookbook
From the colourful houses of Notting Hill to the vivid greens of the Apollo Victoria Theatre, London offers a vibrant canvas for your latest fits.
London is one of my favourite places to visit. As a northern girl, taking a trip to the capital feels like going to a different country altogether - the culture, the environment, and the pace of life are all different. It feels like something is happening on every corner and everything just feels… more.
I spent last weekend seeing the sights of London and making a Wicked trip to the West End. From the colourful houses of Notting Hill to the vivid greens of the Apollo Victoria Theatre, London offered a vibrant array of backdrops that just begged for fun (and warm) outfits.
So, what did I wear?
What to Wear in London
Wild Style: Fur & Leopard Print
Instead of visiting the usual jaunts of the city centre, I took the tube over to West London to visit the desirable suburb of Notting Hill. Known for its colourful houses, Portobello Road market, and of course, the iconic film of the same name, Notting Hill is the perfect place to spend a Saturday in London (unfortunately, I did not see Hugh Grant - sigh).
The coloured houses made the perfect canvas to showcase my OOTD, of which I styled flared jeans with chunky boots, a leopard print top, and a fur coat. For accessories, I donned a red tote and, contrary to the weather, a pair of sleek sunnies. What can I say, I’m trying to manifest the summer!
I am loving the leopard print trend at the moment. I never used to be a huge fan of this animal print, but recently I have become obsessed with pairing leopard print with red/burgundy accessories. It’s a match made in heaven.
Leopard print makes for such a nice statement piece and can be dressed up or down, whatever the occasion. Love it or hate it, you can’t deny it has a timeless quality to it that allows it to surpass fashion trends year after year. Long live leopard print!

Tailored Chic: Coats & Co-ords
Like so many others, I’ve caught the Wicked bug after seeing the first film and have since become fixated with all things Wicked. To satisfy my craving, I was incredibly lucky to see the show at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London - and it did not disappoint!
For my theatre outing, I wore a buttoned waistcoat and skirt co-ord with heeled knee-high boots and a grey tailored coat. I’ve been a huge fan of the waistcoat trend recently as they look so elegant and chic, and can be paired with anything from jeans to skirts. Easy outfit elevation!
As you can see, the glorious green of the Apollo Victoria was a perfect backdrop and makes for some lovely photos!
